Overview

I originally studied Mechanical Engineering and redid my Advanced Level Examinations in Economic Science to only thrust 4 years into the degree programme to pursue my passion in Creative Writing and music as an aspiring Creative Writer, Designer, Lyricist and Pianist. Through this, I possess every skill required to create communication that connects with the consumer every time. As a veteran of over 24 years in advertising, I am responsible for several iconic campaigns in the local landscape, forged throughout my career at local and multinational agencies. Throughout my 24 years of award winning ad creativity working with and conceptualizing for top grade ad agencies for brands such as Dilmah ‘Strong’ Tea, Sampath Bank, People’s Bank, Nolimit, Hutch “Kiyanna – Kiyanna”, Lanka Bell, Singer, Asian Alliance, Sri Lanka Insurance, Paracetol ” Poththa Peththa”, Raigam Isi, Deveni Batha, Tele’es, Phillips, Unilever, Elephant House, Atlas, NLB, Link Sudantha, Amana Takaful, Scan Jumbo Peanut, Kotagala Kahata, Litro “Garu Ammawarune”, Nescafe, Goya, Bison beer and the list goes on. Created an historical campaign on an open invitation by client which placed Litro – a state owned brand of LPG into a landmark proposition –Mothers merit (2016). Contributed towards brands: Atlas (stationary), Sunlight (soap), Peoples Bank, Sampath Bank, SLIC (finance), Fair & Lovely (beauty) to be among most loved brands in Sri Lanka. I also did the notable presidential campaign for the Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa in 2004 and the political campaign for Hon. Mangala Samaraweera in 2015. Currently a member of BCS (British Computer Society – Charted IT-UK), Diploma in Web Engineering (Pearson UK Assured)-pending results.
